Casablanca’s Paris Flagship - A Cinematic Exploration of Classical Elegance and Futuristic Form.

A bold new destination store on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré that redefines the boundaries of retail architecture.

A Landmark Retail Space at the Intersection of Parisian Grandeur and Global Ambition

Casablanca’s debut flagship in the heart of Paris occupies a historic Art Deco corner building, transformed into a three-level retail environment that captures the brand’s bold identity. Positioned on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, a street synonymous with fashion and luxury, the store signals Casablanca’s evolution into a new era of immersive brand storytelling.

A Collaborative Vision Realised Through Architecture and Imagination

Working closely with founder Charaf Tajer, Art Director Steve Grimes, and Moroccan architect Elements Lab, Counterfeit Studio helped realise a visionary spatial concept, one that fuses classic design cues with theatrical gestures and contemporary confidence. This partnership reflects our global expertise in translating brand essence into built form.

Sculptural Forms, Vivid Colour, and Spatial Rhythm Define the Customer Journey

The store is a manifestation of the brand’s ability to play with references both old and new, as well as its confident use of colour and gradients. The ground floor walls are adorned with mouldings, overlaid with a vivid blue that dissolves into the crisp white of the floor. At the centre of the space, a sculptural composition of marble, velvet and high-gloss lacquered wood, described by Tajer as a “deconstructed tennis court” anchors the room and connects the dramatic ground floor to the upper and basement levels.

Classical Parisian Structure Meets Otherworldly Experience Design

Visitors ascend a red carpet staircase to a first-floor environment defined by Haussmannian serenity. A white marble mosaic floor and lightbox ceiling nod to both Kubrick’s cinematic precision and Japanese minimalism. Gradient glass and steel forms punctuate the space, creating a harmony between classical restraint and modern futurism.

Descending into the basement, a lush green carpet envelopes both floor and walls to create a luxurious cocoon, intimate and familiar, balanced by sharp steel and glass accents that retain the brand’s directional energy.

A Bold Statement of Brand Intent and a New Chapter in Parisian Retail Design

More than a flagship, the store serves as a physical manifesto for Casablanca’s creative worldview, unapologetically nostalgic, joyfully maximalist, and emotionally resonant. As a project, it encapsulates our studio’s ability to create landmark retail environments that express identity with depth and nuance while responding to both cultural context and commercial ambition.
