Zwift London HQ - A Playful, Future-Ready Fit-Tech Workspace
A new office for the US-based fitness tech brand brings energy, adaptability and serious fun to South East London.
Designing for Culture, Community and Cohesion
A London HQ that could house both established departments and newly formed teams. The brief: build a space that reflects their playful fit-tech identity, aligns with their global sites, and encourages return-to-office momentum.
Inspired by Zwift’s gamified training world, we used in-game colour, “Power Up” neon graphics, and virtual-world characters to create a vibrant, immersive experience. The palette strikes a balance between energetic moments and calming, neutral tones, promoting the brand’s vision of serious fun.
A Divided but Connected Space
The two-storey layout separates guest-facing areas from team-only zones. On the ground floor: reception, meeting rooms, and a tech-enabled immersive gym dubbed the “Pain Cave”, complete with surround sound, colour-changing lights, and the Zwift gaming platform. Nearby, locker rooms and showers evoke a premium club atmosphere.
Behind the scenes, R&D labs are kept private, furnished with high-spec tools for engineering and product innovation. A dual-entry system ensures team discretion and secure access to sensitive work.
Collaboration and Focus on the First Floor
The upper floor is designed to accommodate multiple modes of working, offering sit/stand desks, acoustic booths, lounge seating, and collaborative project zones. A generous communal area anchored by a custom dining/ping pong table and surrounded by greenery and Zwift’s signature floating blimp fosters casual team culture.
When required, this space easily converts into a conference zone for presentations or all-hands gatherings, underscoring the adaptability at the core of the brief.
A New Standard for Zwift’s Global Growth
Colour plays a key way-finding role throughout: brightly accented “portals” mark zone transitions, while furniture and bespoke lighting repeat the lozenge motif from Zwift’s digital world and brand identity.
More than an office, this project sets a global benchmark for Zwift’s future workplaces, blurring digital and physical boundaries and reminding us why space still matters in a connected world.
